Canford is paving the way for a Greener Tomorrow!

We are thrilled to announce Canford’s involvement in SynCo Global’s South Australian $1.4bn Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) 100mw/200mwh project.

A special congratulations to SynCo Global for successfully acquiring the Transmission Connection Agreement (TCA) being a significant milestone in advancing renewable energy infrastructure.

On October 14, 2024, SynCo Global and its partners officially signed the Transmission Connection Agreement (TCA) with ElectraNet for the Lindley BESS Project in South Australia. This milestone agreement paves the way for the development of a 100MW/200MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), with potential for future expansion.

Strategically located near the North-West Bend substation and linked to the 132kV transmission line, the Lindley BESS Project is set to play a vital role in advancing South Australia’s renewable energy goals. As the state progresses toward achieving 100% renewable energy by 2027, this project will be instrumental in delivering a cleaner, more reliable energy future.

Throughout 2024, Australia has seen significant growth in capital investment in renewable energy projects, including BESS, driven by funds, mining companies, electric utilities, and private investors.

This surge reflects the increasing recognition of energy storage as a critical component of the nation’s transition to a sustainable energy grid. With supportive policies and a growing demand for reliable renewable power, investment momentum continues to build, accelerating the development of large-scale renewable infrastructure across the country.

At Canford, we are incredibly proud to support this momentous step toward a sustainable future. Together, we are committed to making strides toward a greener tomorrow, one project at a time.
